To Hide or Not to Hide…..Eggs!

I must have eggs on the brain! Over the past two weeks I have either:

– Went hunting in my holiday closet for our empty Easter eggs
– Sat in my car waiting for our town egg hunt — only to be canceled due to rain
– Bought and filled 50 eggs for my neighborhood egg hunt
– Bought and filled eggs for my son’s egg hunt
– About to fill more eggs for Easter morning

So yes I have eggs on the brain! But not every family is overloaded on Easter eggs. So indulge me while I ask the question… hide or not to hide eggs? For me it’s a no-brainer. My kids are only 5 and 3 so it’s still something we look forward to every year. But there is a lot of discussion on parenting forums on whether or not to hide eggs this year.

What is the right answer? The answer is….there is no right answer. Some of these parents were still hiding eggs at age 22. I think its a decision only your family can answer. If your high school or college aged kids still enjoy hunting for eggs, then I think you should do it. Lets face it as parents we also enjoy watching our kids hunt for eggs and enjoy the special surprise inside. You are never too old to enjoy a childhood tradition. I say go for it! Hide as many eggs as you want.

The next question I have …. real eggs or fake?

What traditions do you enjoy on Easter? Do you hide eggs or not? We would love to hear from you!

For those of you who celebrate Easter….. Happy Easter!
