Songs that Inspire Athletes to Play and Work Hard!

Posted on: December 24th, 2012 by Chris No Comments

What type of music inspires you to work out or play your best?  Most athletes would say that loud, fast-paced music with a good beat inspires them before each game.

When you go to a professional basketball game or if you attend batting practice at a baseball stadium, or even workout in your favorite gym, there is always music playing to inspire the athletes.  Music gets your heart pumping, allowing you to play and compete hard.  Being from New York, I would attend many NY Yankees home games.  One song I always remember hearing, without fail was “Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns ‘n’ Roses.  When I heard that song, I knew I was at a Yankees game.  Now I’m sure this song is playing at every stadium and arena across the country, but when I hear it — I think of a Yankees game.

So what motivates you or the athlete in your home to play or workout hard? I did some research and here’s a look at the top 10 inspirational/pump up songs of all time.

1. “We Are The Champions” Queen
2. “Welcome to the Jungle” Guns ‘n’ Roses
3. “You Should Me All Night Long” AC/DC
4. “Right Here, Right Now” Fatboy Slim
5. “Let’s Get it Started” The Black Eyed Peas
6. “Bad to the Bone” George Thorogood
7. “Eye Of The Tiger” Survivor
8. “Danger Zone” Kenny Loggins
9. “We Will Rock You” Queen
10. “Don’t Stop Believin’” Journey

There are so many songs that inspire us to work harder at the gym, on the field or on the court!
