Keep Warm During the Cold Football Months!

Posted on: December 31st, 2012 by Chris No Comments

It’s been a while since we have seen cold football weather.  After all football is suppose to be played in cold weather right? As the weather starts to dip below 50, here are some tips to keeping warm while you are enjoying Friday Night Lights!

-It’s always best to dress in layers!  Thermal shirts and pants make the great first layer.  If you get warm, you can always take off the top layer.

-Don’t forget hand warmers.  Target has a box of 40 Grabber Hand Warmers for only $18.89.  These can last up to 7 hours.

-Use a Heated Stadium Seat Cushion to keep your bottom warm.  You can actually find some that stay warm up to 5 hours in one charge.  And we found them for only $69.

-In really cold weather, ditch the gloves and switch to large mittens.  These will keep your fingers together, avoiding frozen fingers.

-We all know that body heat escapes through our heads, so always wear a warm wool hat or beanie.  Amazon has a huge selection of beanie hats starting at $1.99.

-Always bring a warm blanket to wrap yourself in.

-I have heard that baked potatoes wrapped in tin foil make great hand and body warmers.  And if you get hungry, you can always eat it to keep up your energy.

-And don’t forget to pack a thermos with your favorite hot chocolate or tea!  Walmart has a 24 oz. Thermos Intak for only $10.99.

All of these recommendations will keep you warm as we enter the colder months of football!
