Our hearts go out to the people of Moore, Oklahoma and the surrounding communities devastated by the massive tornado this week! It’s been a really rough spring for Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected.
You may be asking yourself how can I help? There are many ways to help but the first place to go is the American Red Cross.
American Red Cross
The American Red Cross helps in every disaster in this country and it’s already on scene in Oklahoma. Several shelters have been set up and Emergency Response Vehicles have been serving hot meals to those affected. If you want to help, Text REDCROSS to 90999 to give $10 to American Red Cross Disaster Relief, donate online, or donate by phone at 1-800-RED CROSS.
Another great organization helping out is the Salvation Army. It’s bringing food, clothing, other supplies to those in need. You can also make a donation to the Salvation Army to help the victims. Donate online or text STORM to 80888 to contribute $10 to the Salvation Army’s relief efforts or make a donation by phone at 1-800-SAL-ARMY. If you want to send a check, put “Oklahoma Tornado Relief” on the front of the check. Mail to: The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 12600, Oklahoma City, OK., 73157.
